Biography

🎗️ I am a dedicated Gynecologic Oncologist committed to advancing women’s cancer care in low-resource and humanitarian settings across Africa.

I bring together clinical excellence, global research leadership, and health policy engagement to address the barriers to quality gynecologic oncology care in LMICs.

🔬 Research & Publications
As Kenya Country Lead for the Every Woman Study™, and PI for NIH/NCI-funded work on financial toxicity in cervical cancer, I contribute to global knowledge and locally relevant solutions. My publications include articles in leading journals such as Gynecologic Oncology Reports, PLOS ONE, and the Journal of Cancer Policy.

🩺 Clinical & Surgical Practice
Trained at Moi University and IGCS, I have provided care through HCG CCK, Nairobi West Hospital, and Médecins Sans Frontières (Malawi), combining frontline practice with mentorship and protocol development.

📚 Capacity Building & Mentorship
Through national training programs, I have led colposcopy and VIA/cryotherapy workshops across Kenya and Malawi, and mentored residents, nurses, and junior doctors.

🏛️ Policy & Systems Engagement
As a contributor to Kenya’s National Cancer Control Program, I’ve supported treatment guideline reviews and strategic pricing models for chemotherapy and palliative care.

🌍 Global Engagements & Fellowships
Recipient of the FIGO/Chien Tien Hsu Fellowship, ASCO/AORTIC International Clinical Research Scholars Program, and I have presented at global platforms such as the IGCS Global Meeting, GCDA, and London Global Cancer Week, where I advocate for improving cancer outcomes for women in LMICs.

🔗 Let’s connect to collaborate on building sustainable, equitable, and patient-centered gynecologic cancer programs across LMICs and crisis-affected regions.
